Apr 26, 2017 (newstodate): The Icelandic LCC WOW Air is rapidly increasing its aircraft fleet in 2017.
By the end of this week, WOW Air will take delivery of its first A320neo at a ceremony in Toulouse after which the carrier will take its aircraft home to Iceland.
In the next few weeks, delivery of the first of two Airbus A321neo ordered will follow.
As of now, the carrier has 12 aircraft in the fleet, with the A320neo adding up to 13, but plans are to take in a further four aircraft during this spring, allowing WOW Air to operate a fleet of 17 aircraft during this year's summer schedule.
But - it does not stop there: WOW Air will take delivery of a further seven aircraft during the coming 18 months including four Airbus A330-900neo and three Airbus A321, bringing the fleet to 24 aircraft in summer 2018.
In service now are are two A320-200, seven A321-200, and three A330-300.
