May 03, 2017 (newstodate): The Icelandic-owned Primera Travel Group is targeting more traffic rights to the USA, now seeking individual rights for its Latvian subsidiary Primera Air Nordic.
Primera Air Nordic has thus filed an application with the US regulatory body under DOT for rights to launch scheduled commercial flights from summer 2018 if granted a Foreign Air Carrier Permit.
No details are yet announced concerning the eventual point of departure of the proposed service, or the planned destinations in the USA.
Another Primera Travel Group subsidiary, Primera Air Scandinavia obtained a similar Foreign Air Carrier Permit in January 2015, allowing it to operate flights into the USA.
