May 15, 2017 (newstodate): The start of the coming new dedicated freighter service from Lakselv to Oslo Airport has now been officially confirmed.
The earlier start-up date April 25, 2017 was postponed and rescheduled for May 23, 2017 - and this has now been confirmed with the annnouncement of an official program for the inauguration that will include the participation of Henk Venema, DHL Global Forwarding Snr VP - Global Head of Network Carrier Management, and Ronny Berg, State Secretary for the Minister of Fisheries.
The uplift on the route between Lakselv and Oslo will be provided by freighter capacity from DHL that has one Airbus A300F otherwise standing idle at Oslo during daytime, and the once-weekly flight will be performed on Tuesdays to match the intensive freighter schedules at Oslo Airport now comprising 11 departures.
