May 08, 2017 (newstodate): The Danish cargo carrier, part of the AP Moller-Maersk Group, Star Air is now entering its first of two Boeing 767-300ERF into commercial service.
The aircraft was delivered in April 2017 on a lease contract with GECAS as its first factory-built Boeing 767-300ERF, powered by GE CF6 engines.
A second similar aircraft is due for delivery later in 2017 to replace one of the 11 Boeing 767-200SF aircraft now in the fleet.
The Boeing 767-300ERF freighter deliveries is an element in Star Air's planned upgrading of the carrier's capacity as part of the ongoing 10-year contract with its main customer, UPS.
In Star Air's fleet based at Cologne Airport are currently also 11 Boeing 767-200SF converted freighters and one Boeing 767-300 SF aircraft.
