Jun 23, 2017 (newstodate): The Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines is preparing for launch of new services to Belgrade, in Serbia.
Starting from September 15, 2017, the carrier will be offering two weekly flights between Beijing and Belgrade as an extension of the existing route between Beijing and Prague, in the Czech Republic, served three times weekly.
The carrier will operate the flights with a mix of Airbus A330 and Boeing 787 aircraft, depending on the market situation.
Hainan Airlines has also applied for 5th Freedom rights to carry passengers between Prague and Belgrade, while Air Serbia is already offering 10 weekly rotations on this route.
Hainan Airlines has been operating flights between Beijing and Prague since June 23, 2016, with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Until 2000, the Serb carrier JAT operated direct flights between Belgrade and Beijing.
