Jun 29, 2017 (newstodate): The first two Boeing 737 MAX are heading for delivery to the LCC Norwegian.
The aircraft will take-off from the Boeing plant today and land on Oslo Airport today or tomorrow.
The full order book with Boeing now comprises 110 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft after Norwegian added a further two to the list for delivery in 2018.
Besides, Norwegian also holds 90 options for future confirmation.
At the same time, Norwegian has signed a LOI for a sale/lease-back transaction totaling 11 Boeing 737-800 aircraft currently operated by Norwegian.
-By selling some of our existing 737-800 aircraft and ordering two further Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, we take another step towards replacing our current fleet with even more efficient and environmental friendly aircraft, says Bjorn Kjos, Norwegian CEO, in a comment to the transactions.
In the fleet of Norwegian are currently 112 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
