Jun 20, 2017 (newstodate): A new Irish airline is being launched - with a Nordic touch.
The new carrier Aer Southeast is set up by Einar Adalsteinsson, a well-known figure in Nordic aviation and currently member of the Board at the Danish carrier Blackbone Aviation, and serving as this carrier's Director Sales & Marketing.
Aer Southeast is part-owned by Mr Adalsteinsson who is now working to draw more investors into the ownership circle.
According to Irish Times, Aer Southeast plans to initially set up scheduled traffic from Waterford, in Ireland, to three UK airports London Luton, Manchester and Birmingham with the first flight scheduled for July 24, 2017.
Flights will be performed with SAAB340 aircraft on a wet-lease contract with a yet-unnamed provider.
