Jul 03, 2017 (newstodate): Bergen's first-ever direct connection to Russia proved a short-lived success..
Starting from June 1, 2017, the Russian airline Rusline has been offering flights on a new route connecting Bergen, in Norway's important oil and gas industry center, and St Petersburg in Russia, with two weekly rotations operated with Bombardier CRJ 100/200 aircraft.
It proved a brief attempt, though: the service has already been suspended and is no longer bookable.
Starting from May 22, 2017, RusLine also launched services between St Petersburg and Tallinn, Estonia, offering 13 weekly rotations on the route, and Rusline is online on the route between St Petersburg and Oslo, in Norway, with up to five weekly rotations.
Furthermore, Rusline resumed flights on the route between St Petersburg and Vilnius, in Lithuania, from May 29, 2017, offering five weekly rotations.
These flights are redirected to Kaunas Airport between July 13 and August 17, 2017, due to the runway reconstruction works at Vilnius Airport.
