Aug 30, 20176 (newstodate): Finnair is to drastically increase its offerings in next summer's schedule, with more flights to existing destinations, extension of seasonal flight periods, and the opening of new routes.
Finnair is adding two new European routes to Lisbon and Stuttgart, as well as increasing capacity to Tokyo, Chicago, San Francisco, Bangkok and Delhi.
Finnair will also launch flights on a new route from Helsinki to Nanking in China, thanks to the positive outcome of the country's latest round of negotiations with Russia where Finland obtained rights to increase the number of flights between Finland and destinations in Asia through Russian airspace from earlier 65 to 80 weekly operations.
Altogether, Finnair will be increasing its total capacity for next summer by 14 percent, y-o-y, and will have 12 Airbus A350 in the fleet by the end of the year.
