Aug 14, 2017 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is boosting its presence at Poland's Gdansk Airport by stationing a sixth Airbus A320 aircraft from December 2017.
As a result, Wizz Air will start flights to Vilnius in Lithuania with two weekly rotations.
Other routes will see increases in frequencies including flights to Bergen and Oslo in Norway; flights to Gothenburg, Malmo and Stockholm Skavsta in Sweden; flights to Turku in Finland, and flights from Gdansk to Keflavik on Iceland.
At the same time, the larger A321 will be operated on the route from Gdansk to Trondheim.
Wizz Air launched operations at Gdansk Airport in 2004 and made Gdansk its third base in Poland in 2006, after Warsaw and Katowice.
