Aug 31, 2017 (newstodate): The Russian cargo carrier Sky Gates Airlines has acquired its second Boeing 747-400F freighter.
To be based at Zhukovsky International Airport, the carrier received its AOC in September 2016, starting domestic and international services from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport in October 2016 with one leased Boeing 747-400F aircraft.
Pending the commissioning of a new cargo terminal at Zhukovsky Int'l Airport in autumn 2017, Sky Gates Airlines works out of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport on routes to Baku and Maastricht.
Plans are to build a fleet comprising six Boeing 747-400 freighters after the base has been moved to Zhukovsky.
