Aug 07, 2017 (newstodate): Starting his month, the Estonian capacity provider Regional Jet will be operating for SAS on regional routes from Denmark's Copenhagen Airport - and the carrier has had no problems in filling its vacancies.
-Given the striking success of our recruitment campaign to date, we now have only got a limited number of captain vacancies in Billund available. Other bases for Captains and all First Officer positions have filled up, the carrier says in a latest call.
-Also Junior Cabin Crew positions in Aarhus and Copenhagen have filled up, leaving only some vacancies still open only in Billund, while a limited number of Senior Cabin Crew positions at Aarhus, Billund and Copenhagen are still available.
The company landed a six-year contract with SAS in March 2017 covering operations from August 2017 with four ATR72-600 aircraft as a replacement for the Scandinavian carrier's earlier contract with Jet Time.
The first two aircraft have been acquired on lease contracts with Elix Aviation Capital and Castlelake, respectively, that also comprise delivery of a further two aircraft of the same type.
Regional Jet is 49 percent owned by the Polish carrier LOT, and has so far been provider of CRJ 700/900 aircraft capacity for the Estonian carrier Nordica.
At the same time, Regional Jet is reportedly to be re-branded as Nordica Regional.
