Sep 26, 2017 (newstodate): To relieve a temporary shortage of aircraft capacity, the Swedish carrier BRA, Braathens Regional, has added two Fokker aircraft to the fleet.
The carrier has signed a sub-lease contract with Amapola Flyg comprising two Fokker 50 aircraft that have now been delivered in BRA's livery.
On June 16, 2015, the Swedish carrier Braathens Aviation placed an order for new ATR aircraft, signing up for delivery of six ATR 72-600 aircraft, with options for a further 10 aircraft.
On December 15, 2015, Braathens Aviation signed a supplementary contact with ATR for more new ATR-72-600 aircraft by activating four of the options, bringing the fleet of new aircraft to nine, now operated by the group's subsidiary airline BRA alongside four ATR 72-500.
BRA has also placed orders for a total of 10 Bombardier CS300 aircraft, originally slated for delivery from 2014, but later rescheduled for 2020.
