Sep 04, 2017 (newstodate): Air cargo is rising in Sweden, notably at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, and Korean Air Cargo is now responding to the situation.
Starting from September 22, 2017, the carrier will increase frequency on its freighter services at Stockholm, going up to three weekly rotations with Boeing 777F aircrft.
-Korean Air Cargo has actually decided to move the introduction of this additional flight forward as it was earlier planned only from the start of the coming winter schedule, says Bas van Goch, Swedavia General Manager Cargo since August 2, 2017.
-The reason is obviously the positive demand for cargo capacity in the Swedish market where Stockholm Arlanda alone saw its volumes up by 10.6 percent to 88,721 tonnes during the first half of this year says Mr van Goch.
Korean Air Cargo first launched freighter services between Seoul Incheon and Stockholm Arlanda on August 24, 2006, and has since been operating between two and three weekly flights on the route.
