Sep 29, 2017 (newstodate): Ukraine International Airlines has now been licensed to operate its second route to China.
The carrier can thus add flights on a new route between Kiev and Guangzhou in southern China, adding to its flights between Kiev and Beijing.
While the permits have been obtained, no start-up date has yet been announced, but the opening flight is expected in the next year's summer schedule.
Ukraine International Airlines launched flights to Beijing on April 29, 2015, starting out with three weekly rotations, and is now offering daily flights on the route using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
UIA has entered into a partnership with a number of Chinese carriers Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Airlines and Hainan Airlines to provide passengers with more travel opportunities to destinations via Beijing including Guangzhou, Shanghai, Urumqi and Xiamen (China), Tokyo and Osaka (Japan), Taipei (Taiwan), Jakarta (Indonesia), Seoul (South Korea), as well as Hong Kong and Singapore.
