Sep 07, 2017 (newstodate): The Icelandic LCC WOW Air just cannot get enough traffic to the USA, now announcing a 13th destination from 2018.
The carrier has thus announced the opening of flights from Keflavik Airport to Dallas, Texas, starting from May 23, 2018, with three weekly rotations using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The new route become the first Nordic direct non-stop connection to Dallas.
Earlier, the carrier annnounced other openings in 2018 to US destinations Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, and St. Louis, while flights to Boston, Baltimore, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Newark, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Chicago are already in the current schedule.
The US expansion has been rapid, with the first North America-bound flight by WOW Air from Keflavik to Boston starting only in March 2015.
The country's legacy carrier Icelandair now operates flights from Keflavik to 18 destinations in the USA, adding a new link to Tampa from September 06, 2017.
