Mar 06, 2018 (newstodate): American Airlines is opening several new routes to central Europe in 2018, and has named a new cargo GSSA to provide sales and marketing in these markets.
As of this year, the Hungarian GSSA R-Bag has been appointed to provide the services in Slovenia and Croatia, including operating tight road feeder services connecting points in these regions with American Airlines' flights.
The GSSA predicts a volume in Slovenia at 58 tonnes monthly, with products primarily generated in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries, and expectations for cargo in Croatia to be around 125 tonnes per month, primarily from exports of pharmaceuticals, gambling machines and other electrical goods.
American Airlines it to start services from Philadelphia to Budapest, and Prague; from Chicago OHare to Venice; and from Dallas/Fort Worth to Reykjavik in April, May and June 2018, respectively.
