Jun 05, 2018 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport continues along its growth curve in cargo volumes in 2018.
In May 2018 a total of 962 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport, an increase by 8.9 percent, y-o-y.
Totals included 778 tonnes of cargo and 184 tonnes of mail.
The growth was driven by a growth in imports - with cargo imports up 12.2 percent and mail imports up 46.6 percent.
Volumes through January-May 2018 thus reached a total of 4,770 tonnes which is an increase by 9.6 percent, y-o-y, again driven by an increase by 17.4 percent in cargo imports and an increase by 53.2 percent in mail imports, which is probably mostly driven by e-trade shipments.
