Aug 24, 2018 (newstodate): Russia and Finland have agreed on raising the limit for flights between Moscow and Helsinki.
Under the current agreement, the parties have allowed for designation of one carrier from each country to perform a total of 35 weekly rotations between the two destinations.
The new agreement allows for the entry of a third operator, and the ceiling has been raised to 42 weekly rotations.
The road is thus paved for the introduction of flights from Moscow Vnukovo Airport to Helsinki by the Russian LCC Pobeda from October 5, 2018, with a daily rotation on the route.
