Nov 28, 2019 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport has delivered a tentative bid in the ongoing tender for Montenegro's airports at Podgorica and Tivat.
Copenhagen Airport has teamed up with the Turkish investment firm Cengiz Holding in a consortium to compete for the 30-year concession for the two international airports.
Six other parties air participating in this first round, including Incheon International Airport Corporation, Indian GMR, Limak Holding, Corporation America Airports from Luxembourg, as well as three consortiums.
After scrutinizing the tentative bids, a tender commission will publish a short-list of participants to provide final and binding bids in a second round of the process, with a winner expected to be announced in March 2020.
In 2018, passenger volumes through Podgorica Airport were up 15 percent, y-o-y, to 1.2 mio, while passenger volumes through Tivat Airport were also rising 10 percent, to 1.3 mio passengers.
