The core group behind the project still maintains that bookings will be opened by the end of this month, with flights commencing in December 2019, while the operational licence and the AOC application process is still not completed.
PLAY will start out with two Airbus A321 aircraft, growing to six aircraft in 2020, and to 10 aircraft within the first three years of operation.
Among the first destinations from Keflavik will be London, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, Alicante and Tenerife, and from 2020 plans comprise flights to four destinations in North America - with options including Boston, New York, Baltimore, and Toronto
