Feb 11, 2019 (newstodate): The Slovenian carrier Adria Airways has now registered its own maintenance, repair and overhaul business, branded Adria Airways Super MRO.
The establishment of the new MRO business is linked to the MoU signed signed in November 2018 between Adria and Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, outlining the set up of a Superjet 100 aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organization in Ljubljana.
Adria Airways is expected to firm up an order for 15 Superjet 100 aircraft, with deliveries expected to start already by in April 2019.
The gradual acceptance of the coming fleet of Superjet 100 aircraft will allow Adria Airways to allocate its fleet of three Airbus A319 and 12 Bombardier CRJ aircraft to the ACMI market.
