May 10, 2019 (newstodate): The Finnish helicopter training service provider Coptersafety has named new CEO: Erkka Suvikumppu.
Taking up his new position from May 13, Mr Suvikumpu is thus returning to the aviation industry after a period as CEO and co-owner of Safera Oy, developing smart home sensor and fire prevention solutions.
Mr Suvikumpu is however well-known from 14 years with Finnair, last serving as VP Finnair Technical Division, Support Services till 2013, and prior to that VP Finnair Cargo, Business Development, IT & Marketing, Director Finnair Group, Corporate eBusiness Development, and Project Manager Finnair Group, eBusiness starting in 1999.
Coptersafety is an independent helicopter pilot training provider for commercial, government and private organizations.
The company provides simulator training to helicopter pilots around the world at its training facility next to Helsinki Airport.
