Jun 28, 2019 (newstodate): Emirates SkyCargo has extended the current extra freighter capacity at Oslo Airport by another two weeks to serve the Norwegian salmon exporters.
Earlier slated to be suspended with the last Wednesday flight on June 27, the carrier will extend the service by another two weeks, ending July 9, 2019.
Launched on October 11, 2016, with one weekly rotation, Emirates SkyCargo's freighter service complements the cargo capacity on the carrier's daily passenger flights between Dubai and Oslo since September 2, 2014, with Boeing 777-300 aircraft offering 238 tonnes of weekly lower-deck capacity to the market.
The Norwegian market has long aired hopes for Emirates SkyCargo to add a second weekly flight on a permanent basis - but this has so far not been scheduled.
