Sep 06, 2019 (newstodate): Launching flights from Serbia to Finland in June 2019, Air Serbia is doing well on the new route.
The carrier has started out with two weekly rotations between Belgrade and Helsinki, using a mix of a leased-in CRJ900 from Nordica and own Airbus A319 on the route, and a decision has now been confirmed to go year-round in response to satisfactory market demands.
In the Nordic region, Air Serbia is already operating flights from Belgrade to Copenhagen and Stockholm, at both airports handled by Aviator.
Air Serbia, 49 percent owned by Etihad and a member of the airline alliance Etihad Airways Partners, operates a fleet comprising 23 aircraft including 12 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, and three Boeing 737-300 aircraft as well as one Airbus A330 and six ATR 72 aircraft.
