Jan 27, 2020 (newstodate): Finland's Helsinki Airport will see more flights to Turkey in summer 2020.
Both Pegasus Airlines and the Turkish Airlines low-cost subsidiary SunExpress are planning to launch new routes from Turkey to Helsinki in summer of 2020, connecting Helsinki with Istanbul, Antalya and Konya.
Pegasus Airlines will thus launch flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport and Helsinki with four weekly rotations using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The carrier will be competing against Turkish Airlines that is already operating two daily rotations on the route.
A second Turkish carrier with a taste for Helsinki is SunExpress with plans for the opening of two new routes at Helsinki.
Starting from May 3, 2020, Pegasus will introduce flights between Antalya and Helsinki, and from May 28 a second new route will connect Helsinki and Konya, in Central Turkey.
Both routes will be served once-weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Pegasus is already serving Helsinki since 2014 with flights from Izmir.
