Nov 16, 2020 (newstodate): Two phased-out ATR 72-500 earlier operated by Braathens Regional have found a new service life in Russia.
New operator is Krasnoyarsk-based KrasAvia, and the aircraft will become the first of the type to hit Russian aircraft registration.
In March 2016, Braathens Regional entrusted Skyworld Aviation with the task of re-marketing all of its five ATR 72-500 and seven of its 12 Saab 2000 aircraft owned by the Swedish aircraft lessor Erik Thun AB.
The two KrasAir aircraft have been undergoing major pre-delivery inspection, overhaul and refurbishment at Taby Air Maintenance, TAM, that added its service portfolio to include the ATR 72-family from spring 2020.
