Mar 31, 2020 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is now promoting its offer to provide all-cargo flights between China, the Baltic region and beyond.
-We have developed a supply chain solution for shipments from South China to the Baltic region and beyond, using our Airbus A220-300 passenger aircraft for cargo charter operations, the carrier says in a letter to forwarders and other stakeholders.
airBaltic will use Urumqi, in China's Xinjiang province, as its Chinese hub, with feeder services on Chinese airlines arranged by airBaltic's cargo GSSA in China, Wish Global Logistics LTD.
-Upon request, we can send several aircraft at once if more volume is needed, but in average one aircraft can take up to 50 cubic meters load onboard, which is checked prior to departure, the carrier says.
airBaltic has just completed its first all-cargo operation to China carrying a shipment of face masks and respirators on a 4,815 km flight from Urumqi Diwopu International Airport in China in 6 hours and 35 minutes.
