May 19, 2020 (newstodate): Estonia has banned direct flights to and from a number of countries with high risk during the current pandemic.
On May 17, 2020, the country's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications published a black-list comprising Belarus, Belgium, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and the UK.
Initially, Denmark was also to be put on the list but was later deleted.
On the other hand, a white list of countries comprises Austria, Germany, Norway, Poland, and now also Denmark.
The black list will remain in power until June 7, when the situation will be reassessed.
As the three Baltic nations Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania form one region, flights between these markets may be performed without restrictions.
