Jun 23, 2020 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport is seeing airlines returning traffic as the curfew on international flights was lifted from June 15, 2020.
Already now, airlines including KLM, Lufthansa, DAT, Wizz Air, Sun-Air and Atlantic Airways are operating at the airport on a weekly or daily basis, and by July Ryanair, Norwegian, SAS, Icelandair and airBaltic will follow suit.
So far, the airport has secured traffic on 30 direct routes to international destinations, compared to only three destinations served by three airlines at the peak of the coronavirus-crisis.
There is, however, still a way to go before reaching the up to 100 routes served in 2019.
