Jul 31, 2020 (newstodate): Since April 26, 2020, Air Canada has been online with weekly all-cargo flights between Toronto and Copenhagen Airport.
Initially, the operation offered in a cooperation between Air Canada and HWF comprised six Airbus A330-300 passenger aircraft, later replaced by Airbus A350 aircraft converted to all-cargo operations - but by the end of the initial period a decision was made to continue the service at least till the end of July, 2020.
As this period expires, Air Canada Cargo confirms the continuation of a weekly all-cargo service on the route.
-With the continued support from customers in Scandinavia, HWF and Air Canada have decided to prolong the current schedule operating a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on Sundays, the company says.
-Convenient late-evening departure times from Copenhagen Airport allows for smooth night transfers onto the increasing cargo-only network throughout Canada, USA and South America.
Copenhagen Airport will however have to wait at least till winter to see Air Canada returning services after the current suspension.
According to the latest schedule update, Air Canada will not set up flights from Toronto to Copenhagen until the start of the coming winter schedule by October 2020, earlier planning for return of services already from June 24, 2020.
Since June 25, 2010, Air Canada has been online with direct scheduled flights between Toronto and Copenhagen after a decade of seasonal operations.
