Feb 10, 2021 (newstodate): The Moldovan cargo operator Aerotranscargo, based at Chisinau, has again added more wide-body capacity to its freighter fleet.
The latest addition is one Boeing 747-400F formerly operated by Thai International and delivered to the Moldovan carrier on February 8, 2021.
The carrier took delivery of its sixth Boeing 747-400 cargo aircraft in October 2020, formerly operated by ACG Air Cargo Global, in Slovakia, and only one month earlier the fifth Boeing 747-400 freighter joined the fleet of Aerotranscargo, also earlier serving with ACG Air Cargo Global.
Launching business in 2012, the carrier now operates the country's largest fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft, while two other Moldovan carriers, Terra Avia and Fly Pro, each operate three Boeing 747 aircraft.
However, with effect from February 1, 2020, Aerotranscargo as well as two other Moldovan cargo operators, Air Stork and Global Air Transport, were excluded from operating at the airports of the UAE due to alleged concerns for lack of air safety.
