Mar 16, 2021 (newstodate): As of today, all flights by Icelandair, domestic and international, are integrated under the Icelandair brand, rendering the brand name Air Iceland Connect part of history.
The route systems and sales and marketing activities of Air Iceland Connect and Icelandair are thus merged under the Icelandair brand, while the two companies' AOCs and operating licenses will continue to be separated.
In 2017, the company changed its name from Flugfelag Islands to Air Iceland Connect, and under this name the company has been operating flights from Reykjavik Airport to Akureyri, Egilsstadir, and Isafjord in addition to Kulusuk, Nuuk, Ilulisaat and Narsarsuaq in Greenland.
