Apr 19, 2021 (newstodate): The Danish provider Scandinavian Avionics A/S and Garmin International have developed an Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast, ADS-B, solution for ATR 42 and ATR 72 turboprop aircraft.
   Now approved by EASA, operators of these aircraft types have an  option to equip their aircraft and achieve compliance as mandated by no later than June 7, 2023.
   The ADS-B upgrade for the ATR 42 and ATR 72 aircraft includes a GPS 3000 ADS-B compliant position source and dual GTX 3000 ADS-B Out transponders, and a complete installation kit comprised of a pre-wired shelf harness, fully manufactured brackets and other installation materials provided by Scandinavian Avionics.
   First customer to install this solution is the Danish domestic carrier Air Alsie on its two ATR 72-500 aircraft.
