May 06, 2021 (newstodate): So far, Ryanair has stayed away from Sweden's Stockholm Arlanda and Finland's Helsinki Airport.
Now, the Irish LCC is on the move, today announcing the opening of first-ever flights into Stockholm Airport from Liverpool, starting from November 2, 2021, with two weekly rotations, and eventually offering a total of 21 routes from Stockholm Arlanda .
Ryanair entered the Swedish market in 1997 with a route from London to Stockholm Skavsta, developing the airport into a new hub - its first in Sweden - to serve the capital region, but closed down the hub from March 29, 2020, while still retaining flights at the airport.
