Jun 22, 2021 (newstodate): Norway's regional carrier Wideroe is keen to develop its route network between Norway and the UK.
As its latest new route between the two markets, the carrier is now online between Bergen and London Heathrow Airport, starting from May 20, 2021, offering six weekly rotations using Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.
Supporting its operation, Wideroe has picked Menzies Aviation as provider of ground handling services at the airport.
While the E190-E2 offers a limited cargo capacity, it still carries cargo targeting the UK and Norwegian off-shore industries' need for spares and staff transportation, with cargo sales in the UK market entrusted to Wexco Cargo GSSA since March 2020.
Wideroe also serves Bergen with two daily rotations on a route to Aberdeen.
