Aug 20, 2021 (newstodate): Wallenborn Scandinavia reports "business as usual" despite the changes in the industry wrought by the Covid-19 pandemic.
-Overall, we have seen roughly unchanged activity in road feeder services that are today our only service in Scandinavia, says Peter Nygaard, Wallenborn Scandinavia Branch Manager.
-Basically, it is our impression that while belly cargo volumes have indeed declined, volumes in all-cargo and freighter charter traffic carrying PPE and other special products have compensated for this shortfall and kept demand for road feeder services unchanged over the last one-and-a-half year.
-So, the volumes are basically the same, but the flow has changed - and we may have seen more road feeder traffic to and from airports outside Scandinavia as well.
-Summing up, we have managed to keep all vehicles and staff active during the pandemic and are seeing business as usual, says Mr Nygaard.
Wallenborn Scandinavia operates four strategic locations in Copenhagen, Billund, Stockholm and Oslo, providing road feeder services between these points as well as between these hubs and European continental airports within a finely-tuned network.
