Aug 11, 2021 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is adding muscle to its base at Vilnius Airport, in Lithuania.
The carrier will allocate a third Airbus A320 aircraft to Vilnius Airport, allowing it to open flights to Keflavik, Iceland, and Yerevan, in Armenia, as well as increasing frequencies to London Luton, Dortmund, and Oslo Sandefjord Torp.
Flight from Vilnius to Keflavik and Yerevan will launch by mid-December 2021, and were actually operated earlier till mid-March 2020 when suspended as the Covid-19 took hold.
Wizz Air opened its base at Vilnius - the carrier's 14th operational base - in April 2011 with one Airbus A320 aircraft serving a total of eight routes.
