Oct 11, 2022 (newstodate): In January-September 2022, Copenhagen Airport handled a total of 225,929 tonnes of cargo, volumes on legacy and integrators included.
This corresponds to an increase by 11.8 percent, y-o-y, while the growth in September alone was only four percent above volumes in September 2021.
In January-September 2022, cargo volumes on legacy carriers alone were 154,517 tonnes, which was also an increase by 12.8 percent compared to last year.
The increase in legacy carriers' volumes was driven by growth in belly cargo on passenger aircraft, which increased by 17.3 percent during the period, reflecting the hike in flights on passenger traffic.
Excluding the integrators, the airport remains low on cargo carried by freighters, handling only 89 tonnes of cargo during the nine-months period.
