Oct 18, 2022 (newstodate): Swiss is preparing for a busy summer 2023 schedule, with more flights, new destinations - and a sustained need for extra aircraft capacity.
   Among the news on the list are flights from Geneva to Scandinavian destinations Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, and flights from Zurich to Scandinavian destinations will also be increased, the company says.
   To serve its summer program, Swiss will continue its wet-lease of aircraft, including the extension of the current contract in winter 2022/23 with airBaltic for lease of six Airbus A220-300 aircraft with airBaltic cockpit and cabin crews for flights on behalf of Swiss on the airline's European route network.
   Swiss is thus bolstering its own aircraft capacity with Airbus A220-300 aircraft on top of its own fleet of 21 similar aircraft.
