Mar 23, 2022 (newstodate): The effect from the Russian invasion of Ukraine is casting dark shadows on the aviation industry.
As one example, Lithuania has lost nearly 200 overflights per day, corresponding to a drop by 46 percent, y-o-y.
More than half of this reduction, or some 110 flights per day, is due to the fact that flows to and from Russia, particularly from Germany, France and the UK, have stopped.
Poland, Latvia and many others also note fewer overflights in the current period.
