May 23, 2022 (newstodate): The Irish company MAAS Aviation commissioned its new aircraft paint shop at Lithuania's Kaunas Airport in February 2021, built in cooperation with FL Technics.
With effect from May 1, 2022, the company has named the well-known Lithuanian aviation business professional Arturas Stankevicius its Business Unit Manager.
Mr Stankevicius started his career in 2008 as operations manager for six years at the three airports of Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports, later serving as Vilnius Airport Director for almost three years till November 2016, and besides other duties he is CAVIA member of the Board since June 2019.
In October 2019, FL Technics and MAAS Aviation announced their cooperation to offer a one-stop-shop experience at Kaunas Airport to airlines and leasing companies, combining full engineering and maintenance support with aircraft painting.
The 12,000 m2 twin-bay paint shop facility allows for painting of two aircraft simultaneously, focusing on the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 types of aircraft.
Kaunas Airport is also home for aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services providers including Ryanair, FL Technics, and DOT.
