Jun 23, 2022 (newstodate): The new long-haul LCC Norse Atlantic Airways is now in the air on routes from Oslo to New York and Fort Lauderdale; flights to Orlando will start from July 5, 2022, and flights to Los Angeles will follow from August 9.
But the carrier has also applied for an AOC from the UK CAA, expecting to see the process completed within the coming few weeks.
With this in place, Norse Atlantic Airways plans to launch flights from London Gatwick to US destinations New York, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, soon after to be followed by the opening of flights from London Gatwick to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Washington.
The transatlantic services from the UK market are scheduled for launch by late 2022 with eight Boeing 787-9 aircraft on UK registers as part of a fleet comprising 15 aircraft in service this summer.
Norse Atlantic Airways has also surprised the market with announcing the opening of bookings on two new routes from Berlin Airport.
With the first flight on August 17, 2022, the carrier will be offering daily flights between Berlin and New York JFK as well as three weekly rotations from August 19, 2022, on the route between Berlin and Los Angeles.
