Nov 08, 2023 (newstodate): Icelandair has published its schedule for summer 2024 - the most extensive in the carrier's history..
The carrier will be operating flights to more than 50 destinations, with three daily connection peaks at its hub at Keflavik Airport.
Icelandair will thus be operating daily flights to 28 destinations in Europe and North America, with more than one flight a day to 19 destinations.
New on the monitor will be Icelandair's first-ever flights to Pittsburgh, the company’s 12th destination in the United States alongside Pittsburgh, Boston, New York JFK, Raleigh-Durham, Baltimore, Seattle, New York Newark, Chicago, Denver, Minneapolis and Orlando.
Services will be provided with four weekly rotations starting from mid-May until the end of October 2024.
Flights from Keflavik to Halifax, Canada, will also return to the schedule from May 31, 2024, till mid-October with three weekly rotations.
To provide capacity for the ambitious schedule, Icelandair will add three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in 2024, bringing the fleet to a total of 42 aircraft, including 21 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
