Feb 08, 2023 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport will soon see SAS adding one more weekly frequency to its Shanghai route, first launched on March 1, 2012.
Starting from March 19, 2023, the carrier will be offering three weekly rotations on the route, up from today's two weekly flights served with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
After the Covid-10 lockdown, the carrier returned flights on the route from September 29, 2020, with a modest program of one weekly rotation operated with Airbus A350 aircraft, going up to two weekly rotations from December 16, 2022.
Copenhagen Airport will however also see more of Air China in the coming summer 2023 schedule.
Currently operating one weekly rotation from Beijing to Copenhagen via Xian on the incoming flight, Air China will increase frequency to three weekly flights from the start of the summer '23 schedule.
Air China is also changing aircraft type to Airbus A350-900 on the route today served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Air China re-launched flights on the route to Copenhagen Airport from May 30, 2018, having earlier operated flights on the route while pulling out again from 2001, leaving SAS alone in offering daily flights between the two destinations
