Apr 21, 2023 (newstodate): Most of airBaltic's Airbus A220-300 aircraft are delivered on sale/lease-back contracts with various aircraft lessors.
The list of lessors contracted by airBaltic includes Altavair, Chorus Aviation Capital, Aviation Capital Group and Skytech-AIC, with investors funding the acquisitions.
Also on the list is GOAL, German Operating Aircraft Leasing GmbH & Co. KG, with a contract comprising a total of three aircraft, two of which were delivered to airBaltic on December 2, 2022, with the third and final delivery on December 30, 2022.
The latest newcomer to the list of airBaltic's lessors is Jackson Square Aviation that has completed a sale/lease-back transaction for the airline's latest Airbus A220-300 - the 40th aircraft in the fleet delivered on March 16, 2023.
On the Airbus Final Assembly Line is now one more Airbus A220-300 aircraft for airBaltic, adding to the 40 units already in the fleet that is poised to grow to 50 aircraft by early 2024.
