Jul 25, 2023 (newstodate): The ground handling provider Menzies has gained a firm footing in a new market: Bulgaria.
   Menzies has thus acquired the Bulgarian cargo handling company Cargo Handling Services, CHS, based at Sofia Airport, as an element in its strategy to expand its air cargo business and enter new, emerging aviation markets.
   Providing warehousing, import and export handling, mail handling, and temperature-controlled storage, CHS operates three warehouses as well as dedicated storage for valuable goods and temperature-controlled rooms at Sofia Airport that handled a total of 20,528 tonnes of cargo in 2022.
