Jan 04, 2024 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic rounded off 2023 with delivery of yet another Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
The aircraft arrived at Riga Airport after its ferry flight from Canada on December 21 as the 7th delivery in 2023.
In the fleet of airBaltic are now 46 Airbus A220-300 out of the order for 50 aircraft to be fully completed in 2024.
After this, airBaltic has announced a firm purchase agreement for 30 more Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 20 aircraft of the same type.
airBaltic aims at bringing the fleet to 100 aircraft by the end of 2030, making the airline the largest A220 customer in Europe, while it continues to be the largest A220-300 operator in the world.
