Oct 30, 2024 (newstodate): Good news for Copenhagen Airport: DHL has launched a new direct freighter service between Copenhagen and Bahrain.
   With the first flight on October 29, 2024, DHL is now online with a direct cargo rotation between Copenhagen and Bahrain, operated five times weekly with a DHL Air Austria/European Air Transport Boeing 767-300F.
   This is a manifestation of DHL's plan for Copenhagen Airport to serve as a Nordic/Baltic hub building on the commissioning in May 2023 of a new parcel sorting terminal designed to the capacity of sorting some 37,000 items per hour - aiming not least on the expected sustained growth in e-com volumes.
   The coming growth in the all-cargo segment is also significant news for Copenhagen Airport that has long been low on freighter operations.
