Nov 27, 2024 (newstodate): Investigation has now started to identify the root causes behind the fatal crash of a Sprint Air Boeing 737 freighter at Vilnius on November 25, 2024.
Operating for DHL, the aircraft crashed in a residential area during landing at Vilnius Airport.
Participating in the process are the US NTSB and Boeing as well as investigators from both Germany and Spain, representing the country of the flight departure and the country where the aircraft was registered.
Both black boxes have been secured and are crucial to verify the aircraft performance and the cockpit crew/ATC communication up to the crash.
At this point, no evidence of sabotage has been established, leaving all issues open for scrutiny.
